T1DAI is NOT a medical device.
T1DAI has not been evaluated, cleared, or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or any other regulatory authority. It is a personal data visualization tool intended for informational purposes only. It must never be used to make insulin dosing decisions, treatment decisions, or any other clinical or medical decisions.
The information displayed on T1DAI — including glucose readings, trends, insulin on board estimates, carb estimates, scores, and any derived analytics — is provided for general informational and personal tracking purposes only. It does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations.
Always seek the advice of your physician, certified diabetes care and education specialist (CDCES), or other qualified healthcare provider with any questions you have regarding your diabetes management or any medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of data or information you see on T1DAI.
T1DAI displays data as received from your CGM or closed-loop system. We do not alter, correct, or verify glucose readings. CGM devices have known accuracy limitations. Do not use CGM readings displayed on T1DAI as a substitute for fingerstick blood glucose measurements when making insulin dosing decisions — follow the guidance of your device manufacturer and healthcare provider.
T1DAI is a cloud-based service. Internet connectivity issues, server outages, or software errors may cause data to be delayed, incomplete, or unavailable. Do not rely on T1DAI as a primary safety monitoring system. Always have backup methods to monitor your glucose levels.
T1DAI is classified as a general wellness product under FDA guidance (General Wellness: Policy for Low Risk Devices, 2019). It does not claim to diagnose, cure, treat, mitigate, or prevent any disease. It is not subject to FDA medical device premarket review requirements under this classification.
The "T1DAI Score" and associated letter grade are proprietary wellness metrics calculated from your glucose data. They are not clinically validated measures of diabetes control or health status. They should not be presented to or interpreted by a healthcare provider as a clinical measurement. Standard clinical metrics such as HbA1c, time in range (TIR), and GMI should be used in clinical settings.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency services immediately. Do not rely on T1DAI in an emergency.
By using T1DAI you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Medical Disclaimer and that you agree to use the Service only as a personal wellness data visualization tool, not as a medical device or clinical decision support system.
